Unleash your inner adventurer: Golden Circle and Langjökull snowmobiling expedition

Experience the landmarks of the classic Golden Circle in South Iceland with an exciting snowmobile ride on this unforgettable day tour. The Golden Circle encompasses the must-see sights of Þingvellir National Park, the golden Gullfoss waterfall, and the bubbling geothermal region of Geysir. Cap off your sightseeing adventure with a thrilling snowmobile ride on Langjökull glacier!

If you ask an Icelander which tour you should take if you want a taste of Iceland near Reykjavík, they will most likely recommend the Golden Circle. Comprising the three most visited sights in South Iceland, the Golden Circle gives you a slice of Icelandic history at Þingvellir National Park, a view of Iceland’s geothermal activity at Geysir, and a peek at a roaring, powerful waterfall at Gullfoss.

Departing from Reykjavík, guests will visit Þingvellir National Park, known for its exceptional beauty, geological significance, and historical relevance. Þingvellir is where Icelandic democracy was born, as it’s the site of the island’s first parliament. Additionally, guests can visit where the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates meet in Þingvellir, a unique Iceland experience.

The tour continues to Gullfoss, Iceland’s most famous waterfall, where two tiers of water crash and tumble meters below. Next, the tour visits the geothermal region of Geysir, a powerful reminder that Iceland is very much alive, with steam and water erupting meters into the air from the Strokkur geyser every few minutes. This is where the word geyser comes from!

After touring Iceland’s most popular destinations along the Golden Circle, the guide heads to the rugged Icelandic highlands for an exhilarating snowmobile ride on Iceland’s second-largest glacier, Langjökull. Racing across the mighty glacier on a powerful snowmobile is an adventure like no other, breathing in the fresh arctic air and soaking in the vast glacial scenery. This is an easy tour, with an expert guide that will show you how to use the vehicle and explain safety protocols. No previous snowmobiling experience is required.
