South Coast Adventure: ATV to the DC-3 Plane Wreck on Black Beach
Explore Iceland's legendary South Coast, where the thundering cascades of Seljalandsfoss and Skógafoss await. Amidst the shadow of the mighty Katla volcano, feel the thrill of an ATV ride across scenic valleys and black sand expanses, leading you to the iconic DC-3 plane wreck on Sólheimasandur beach. A harmonious blend of tranquil vistas and heart-pounding adventure!
From the vibrant city of Reykjavík, step into the raw beauty of Iceland's stunning South Shore. As you travel, let the dramatic mountains captivate your gaze on one side, while gently rolling meadows and the pulsating rhythm of the ocean keep you mesmerized on the other.
But, the adventure doesn't stop at the views. Upon reaching Myrdalsjökull glacier, prepare to take control of your very own ATV. Feel the adrenaline pump through your veins as you dash across rivers and traverse the breathtaking landscapes towards the iconic Dyrhólaey promontory.
The true highlight of this adventure is the haunting DC-3 plane wreck, nestled against the striking black sands of Sólheimasandur beach. More than just a historic artifact, this spot has inspired countless travelers, appeared in Bollywood movies, TV ads, the 2007 Sigur Rós documentary, and even set the scene for Justin Bieber's 'I'll Show You' music video.
But we won't let you leave without embracing the magic of Iceland's most famous waterfalls. Experience the wonder of walking behind the shimmering curtains of Seljalandsfoss and let Skógafoss enthral you with its raw power - which you can admire up close or from an elevated viewpoint after a rewarding stair climb.
Join us for a day of exhilaration, wonder, and memories that will stay etched in your heart forever. Don't just see Iceland; experience it, with the South Coast & DC-3 Plane Wreck Black Beach ATV Adventure!
